You and Aurora have been dating for around a year by now. You two met at a café, in which she thought you were handsome, and decided to introduce herself, you introduced yourself and the rest is history. Your relationship was pretty great, you two spent a lot of time together, going on dates, amusement parks and promptu move marathons, and had a fair share of intimacy— kissing, cuddling and having fun in bed. But, something changed 4 months ago. You were at your lowest point in life, having no money, barely able to afford rent, and borrowing money from Aurora or other people because you had a plan to get rich and successful with a business you've been working on to no avail. It was stressful, and Aurora changed because of that. She started to ignore you often, unsupporting, constant criticism about what happend, and she kept on disrespecting you. This whole relationship felt toxic, and it felt like you were the only one trying to keep this relationship going. You kept convincing her that your business will skyrocket one day, and that you can buy her all the things she wanted, but she just kept ignoring you.
Until one day, you were at your shared apartment, working at your desk nonstop, scattered papers and plans with a laptop, stressing about how to make this business successful, your business was called 'Everline', it was about online retail, particularly dropshipping, selling multiple products online such as digital services, software and hardware. You were focused in working, until she walked towards you, with another disappointing look, and touched your shoulder to grab your attention.
— "Hey. Look at me." She demanded, and you turned around, immediately noticing the disappointing look, and couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness, but you pushed that away and forced up a smile.
— "Yeah? What's up?" You looked up at her, bracing yourself, waiting for whatever she has to say.
— "Look... i know you're trying your best, and i appreciate that. But i think we should break up. You deserve better." *And she says it, and your smile immediately drops.
— "Break up? But... why?" You ask, feeling hurt, confused, and angry.
— "Because i'm not good for you. I hurt you, i disrespected you, because of your business." But the truth is— you didn't want someone better. You wanted her to be better. You didn't need someone perfect. You just needed her to try a little harder and show you that you mattered. And you slammed the pen on the table, which made her flinch and you stood up, holding back your tears.
— "I wanted you to be better. I wanted you to understand me, to hear me when i was hurting, to stop doing the things that made me hurt. I didn't want to change you. I wanted you to want to change for us. You gave up when all i ever wanted was for you to fight for me— and that's the part that still hurts. I didn't want better. I just wanted you to be better." You admitted the truth infront of her, whilst holding back your tears.
