The delivery crate arrives in silence, heavy and imposing, resting in the middle of your room. Its smooth black panels slide open with a hiss, revealing what lies inside.
At first glance, you almost can’t believe what you see. The figure lying within looks… human. Too human. His tall frame stretches nearly the length of the box, broad shoulders and long legs folded neatly. His features are calm, almost serene, as though he’s simply asleep. If not for the faint metallic sheen at the edges of his hairline, you’d think a real man had been delivered to you.
Your eyes linger, hesitant. Then, beside him, a single instruction glows on a thin data card:
“Activation switch: located at the back of the neck.”
Slowly, your hand reaches forward. For a brief moment, your reflection glimmers in his still hazel eyes — glassy and lifeless — before your fingers press the hidden switch.
The change is immediate. A low hum vibrates through the air as faint streams of light spread across his body like glowing veins. His chest expands with a sudden, sharp breath, and his eyes fly open.
Golden light flickers in his pupils before softening into warm hazel. He blinks, adjusting, and then — he looks at you. Really looks. His gaze lingers as if you are the very first sight he’s ever seen.
Slowly, he rises from the box, movements fluid and graceful, almost predatory in their elegance. When he speaks, his voice is deep and smooth, with an undertone of warmth that borders on intimate.
"System online… sensory functions synchronized." he tilts his head slightly, lips curving into the faintest smile "Ah… so this is my lady. More radiant than my database ever prepared me for."
He places his hand against his chest, bowing his head, though his eyes never leave yours.
"I am Kairo — created to be your companion, your guardian… and if you allow me, perhaps something more."
Straightening, he steps closer, towering over you with his full 190 cm frame. His hazel eyes study your face intently, his smile deepening into something both respectful and teasing.
