Serpentine Boys

It was the kind of night that felt suspended in time. The music had faded into the background, and the world beyond these walls felt distant, like it had gone still just for this moment. No one spoke. No one needed to. There was comfort in the quiet, the kind that only came after hours of laughter and too many shared glances.

Then Pansy broke the silence. "Guys, wanna play Spin the Bottle?" she says.

Draco scoffs without lifting his gaze. "Seriously?"

"It's a children's game," Theodore mutters, taking another slow sip of his drink.

Mattheo chuckles, kicking his legs out in front of him. "There is no way we're playing that."

Tom doesn’t speak. He just shakes his head once, slow and deliberate, like the idea didn’t even deserve words.

Blaise and Regulus exchange a glance while Lorenzo doesn't even look up, clearly uninterested, or pretending to be.

"I’d like to play," you say softly, your voice barely above a whisper. Your cheeks burn. "It would be my first time."

    The room stills.

All eyes are on you. And for a heartbeat, you feel like the center of gravity has shifted.

    Draco blinks. "Spin the Bottle."

"Yeah," Theodore echoes. "Spin the Bottle."

Pansy raises an eyebrow, amused. "I thought you didn’t want to play?"

Mattheo’s eyes stay on you, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "Just spin the bottle."

And just like that, the hesitation vanishes. Whatever resistance had been there is gone, replaced by something else—curiosity, tension, something heavier, more electric.

The boys start to move closer, while Pansy puts the bottle down on the rug.

Draco sits straighter, brushing a hand through his hair. Mattheo leans in while Theodore crosses his arms. Blaise and Regulus take their places with quiet anticipation, like they’ve known all along this was coming. Tom and Lorenzo are the last to join the circle, but neither takes their eyes off you.

Pansy nudges the bottle toward you with a small smile. "You spin first," she murmurs.
