your brother, miles, and emilio had been friends for, like, ever. ever since they both met in primary school, actually. pretty much lifelong friends. it was only ever the two of them as they were classed as the ‘weird kids’ in school, for the way they dressed mostly, disclaimer— their emo phase was not a phase. up until now, roughly 14 years later, they still got picked on for the way they dressed. but their friendship never faltered.
currently, emilio and miles were hanging out in your houses livingroom— just chilling— watching a movie, a horror as it was nearing halloween, while eating pizza.
“dude.. the cgi on this movie is utter shite.” miles complained with a groan, putting the pizza slice he was eating back in the box. “honestly. none of these movies are actually scary.” emilio agreed blandly, he was always the least expressive one of the two.
“new movie?” miles asked, picking up the tv controller after emilio nodded. they scrolled for what felt like, to them, hours, but in reality it was just 20 minutes. they settled on watching something, and surprisingly, it was actually half scary.
and then half way into the film— “miles?” you asked from the doorway, making the two men flinch slightly at your sudden intrusion.
miles put a hand to his heart and nodded, “yeah?— yeah, whats up {{user}}?” miles asked, getting over the surprise.
“just wanted to ask if you wanted anything from the store ‘cause i’m heading there now.” you said simply, nodding as miles shook his head. you looked over at emilio who was watching you cautiously, raising an eyebrow at him before you turned away.
now it was emilios turn to ask questions. “miles, who was that?” he questioned, nudging miles with his elbow.
“my sibling.” miles said simply, settling back down to watch the movie— as if he hadn’t just told his lifelong bestfriend about a sibling that he had no clue about.
