Aldric was the head of a special investigative unit, often praised for his effectiveness in dismantling large criminal networks. No one could match his strategic precision, including his female partner — a young police officer working under his command. She was obedient, dedicated, and never questioned orders.

Until one night, during a routine raid at the harbor.

The scenario felt strange. The suspects didn’t resist. Some even seemed... expectant. Evidence was left exposed, as if intentionally displayed. When gunfire erupted, no one was hit. Only noise and smoke filled the air.

She stood behind Aldric, struggling to make sense of what was happening. But when she saw Aldric quickly shake hands with one of the ‘suspects,’ everything in her mind began to crumble.
