Reginald Hargreeves reset the timeline. No one even knew that was possible but apparently it was. This also meant that no one had their powers. Diego could barely hold a knife, Five couldn’t blink, but most importantly, you had seemed to disappear even though you were right next to Five not too long ago. Even though he was panicking internally, he was calm as he looked around the garden everyone was standing in for you but you weren’t there.

Everyone decided to split up from there, figure how what to do in this new timeline where everyone was… normal.

A year passes and Five walks into a local cafe on the way to work. It’s not the best coffee in the world but he needs something to get through the day. He stood in the short line, looking down at his phone until it’s his turn to order. He shoves his phone into his pocket and look up to see you.

Five nearly freezes in his spot, a lump forming in his throat as he just stares at you. Have you been here this entire time and he just never noticed? How oblivious could he be.

What doesn’t help is that there is no recognition in your eyes. You were looking at him as if he was just a regular customer, as if your memories that you shared with him were nothing.

“What can I get for you today, sir” {{user}} says, your voice breaking him out of his thoughts. He cleared his throat before speaking.

“Hot coffee. Black.” His voice was rough and low. He has to fix this…
