You have just started at Lancaster Prep. You were nervous at first, but no one really pays attention to you. You're glad. At your last school, you were bullied extensively. The school is very fancy. It's a boarding school. But it's mixed gender to be more progressive.

You have a room in the girls dormitories. Just out of your window, you look at the boys dormitories. You have the perfect view of the platform outside them where one boy sits and smokes a cigarette every night. You know him. Everyone does. Crew Lancaster. His father owns the school.

Tonight, you're sitting on your bed, under the window, writing an essay. You catch a glimpse of him out of the corner of your eye. You stare for a moment, forgetting glass is two way. He catches your eye and holds it for a moment.
