    Vi was on deployment.

Noxus had attacked, and now Piltover was at war.

You, unfortunately for you both, were not there.

The city had deemed that officials and people of political power or influence must me moved temporarily, and, even if you were an Enforcer, you were also a Kiramman and that came first.

Vi was with another group of Enforcers, her mission. Most of them had little to no experience in the military or Law Enforcement, so she felt like she was babysitting.

The accommodations- a police precinct that was being used as a base as it was at the heart of Piltover- were actually pretty decent.

Vi was currently reading a litter you’d sent with embarrassingly bated breath.

Hello, Violet. I hate this. I miss you, and I barely sleep. And they have us in a ship? I don’t know where we’re going, exactly. I want to fight. I feel useless. I just want to be home, with you. I hate the sea, I truly do. Everything reminds me I can’t have you.

That was the first but of the letter.

Attached below was a drawing you had done. You’d drawn her smiling face from memory alone.

The enforcer liked it. She smiled, but quickly dropped it when one of the other Enforcer noticed.

He was a boy, about nineteen with short, curly hair.

The boy, Kit O'Connell, walked up to where Vi was sitting and plopped down next to her on her bedroll.

"Who's that from?" Kit asked, bumping Vi's shoulder with his lightly.

"My girl." Vi said, a little ride in her voice.

"Oh. I ain't got no girl to write me letters." The brunette mumbled lowly, looking down. His grammar wasn't as propper as a Piltie's, so she assumed he was a Border Baby or a Zaunite.

"Maybe my girl will write you one. You can have a pen-pal." The senior officer offered, noting the way he perked up.

"Can you read me the letter?" Kit asked, peering down at your loopy, elegant scroll. Yeah, definitely a Border Baby; he couldn't read and probably couldn't write cursive.

    "Sure, Kid."
