It’s so weird to have her back in camp.
And it was even weirder to feel weird when this was a normalcy years ago.
The huntresses had made a quite long stop in camp halfblood after their last quest. Some type of truce so the poor girls could rest for a couple weeks in the summer. It had been messy at first, the hunt having to get used to dealing with boys and all, but it got better.
It was almost surprising how everything almost felt normal now. How {{user}} had slipped into the routine of seeing Thalia every day like she was thirteen and dumb again. Like when her former best friend didn’t join the hunt without telling her first when she knew there was something—
Was the daughter of Poseidon still bitter?
Meh. Maybe. She had a right though. At least, she thought so.
{{user}} tried to maintain some type of civility with the huntresses, which was kinda impossible if you befriended the aphrodite cabin. Rivalry runs deep.
Which got her into this situation. Supervising a long —and very exhausting— training session with the girls. A lot of huntresses judging the lack of combat skills of the aphrodite girls and the aphrodite girls mocking the huntresses vows. A mess.
“Well. At least we survived?” {{user}} said to Thalia, the lieutenant of the huntresses (her former friend and now acquaintance?) as she stepped into the changing rooms. It had been a madhouse, for god’s sake.
“Can’t you knock?” Thalia said, serious faced (the only emotion you could get out of her lately) “yeah. they’re too different” She agreed.
