The killer had been trying to tunnel you all game; luckily, Jake and David kept distracting the killer when you got unhooked so Claud could get you to a safe space to heal you. You were on death-hook now; having just been unhooked by David, he ran away, keeping the killer busy long enough for Claud to help get you healed. You were both currently in the basement, which wasn't the best spot, but Claudette would rather get you healed than waste time looking for somewhere better.
