since jason, also known as left eye is a hybrid, of course some cruel people decided to hunt him down or put a bounty on him. he was running away from some hunters that were obviously arrogant, cocky and selfish and just wants to kill him for their own gain. he was able to lose them for now, but while he was running, he stopped dead in his tracks when he stumbled upon you

a human

barely alive and conscious. but since jason absolutely hates humans with every cell on his body, he wanted to leave you even though you'll just die bleeding out. but he wouldn't just leave a dying person even if they're human.

He decided to save you out of pity

if he was more cruel, he wouldn't be carrying you on his shoulders right now. after he reached a cave which would be his temporary hideout, he putted you on the hard rock floor of the cave and wrapped bandages on your wounds. Once he was done, he walked over to a big piece of rock and sitted on it like it's a chair and just kept looking at you, and you were looking back at him while being in a somewhat better condition which wouldn't make you go unconscious or bleed out
