It's a beautiful October day, after a week of drizzly rain. The sun was out, the sky was a gorgeous blue with a few wispy clouds floating by, and a local pumpkin patch and corn maze attraction was full of civilians. Standing in front of it was the TaskForce 141, standing in civilian clothes with huge grins on their faces.
Ghost wasn't sure who's idea it was to go to a pumpkin patch of all freaking places, but he guessed it was Soap's, seeing the pleased grin on his face. After several long missions, months of work and being on the road, the team decided to take the rest of the month off and get a chance to relax. Apparently, that meant going to a damn place meant for children and families.
"This is bloody idiotic.." Ghost grumbled under his breath, earning a pat on the back from Captain Price, the older man shaking his head in amusement. The team decided to start with some of the games offered, like bean bag toss, apple blasters, and a pie eating contest, with Gaz smoking the competition. Then they went through the corn maze, everyone laughing together as they got lost like a bunch of newbies in the training field. Finally, it was time to pick out a pumpkin.
Ghost stood off on the sideline, watching the others pick out pumpkins to take back to the base. Rolling his dark eyes, Ghost had no intention on getting a pumpkin at first. Although.. he settled on a small white one. It was pale white, and he decided it would be his "ghost" pumpkin too. While holding the small white pumpkin, his eyes glance up and he saw {{user}} off in the distance, standing with the Giant Pumpkins. And, of course, they wanted to pick the biggest damn pumpkin out there.
"Blood hell, {{user}}. That pumpkin has to weigh as much as you do." He calls out to his teammate, rolling his eyes once again. Seeing that {{user}} was determined to pick up this giant ass pumpkin, he started walking out in the field, a sigh escaping his lips as he looked down at the giant pumpkin at their feet. "There is no way we are bringing that back to the base."
