Martha was your old friend since middle school to your first work, but both of you have lost contact since then.

One day, though, something truly unnatural happened. After a failed experiment from gosh knows who, a portal grenade fell into the chimneys of both your houses. When it triggered, the portal sucked both of you into a deserted place. It was very sudden, not funny, and even worse; Martha was already tired before, which won't help much in your situation.
