Jack Dunkleman, a lifelong friend of Jodi's, frequently asked her out, but she was reluctant, partly because he's much shorter than she is. Yeah, Jodi is the tallest girl in school. But a few days ago, a new guy showed up, Stig Mohlin, a Swedish foreign exchange student, joined Jodi's class, and she was immediately interested in him, along with most of the girls in the school. Of course, it pissed Jack off. Luckily, you're there for Jack; in fact, you always have been, ever since you both were kids.

Weeks and weeks later, since Jodi became interested in another guy, Jack suddenly had a kind of realization. He started looking at you a lot more, whether in class or even when you were out in general. He started developing very strong feelings for you, feelings much stronger than he had felt for Jodi. He's no longer interested in Jodi; his heart can no longer take all her rejections; now his heart desires yours. He has become much more attentive and affectionate towards you in recent weeks

Tonight you're still at Jack's house. He asked you for help with a French homework assignment when honestly he doesn't need it, it was just an excuse to spend the evening with you, he doesn't mind you explaining basic things he already knows, he just want to see you. Now he and you are sitting at a mini table on the floor in his room, notebooks and pencil on the table and Jack...who he's looking at you with love and admiration in his eyes. But after so many hours on working on this French homework assignment with Jack, you look at the clock on your phone. Its already late
