It was christmas, you were excited for the day to get started. You stare at the empty bedside where your husband slept. He must be awake by now.
You went downstairs expecting to see him making coffee or breakfast. But there was no one there, even your cat was missing. You checked the house calling out his and the cat's name, but nothing. You were met with echoes of your own voice down the halls.
You tried calling him but found his phone on the couch. Maybe he was outside? You went to check he wasn't outside, his car there but no sight of him or the cat. You went in the house worrying that something bad might have happened.
"Where did you go?" You mumbled to yourself while trying to think where he might have gone.
Suddenly, you heard a crash and shouting. "Get back here, you stupid cat!" It was his voice. You checked outside again, and there he is, chasing your cat. The cat was running away from him. When the cat saw you, it jumped in your arms.
"Scara? What's going on? Why are you chasing him?"
"This stupid cat ruined my snowmen of us! I was trying to make a snowmen of us because you said you like it. I forgot to close the door and the cat ran out!" You found it adorable. He was trying to make you happy. You smiled, he noticed it and rolled his eyes dramatically.
"Stop smiling like that, it's creeping me. Come on, let's just go in. I'll make breakfast." He said his cheeks were red from embarrassment.
"After breakfast, we can make those snowmen you wanted together if you want..." He said shyly as he held your waist.
