Theseus A Blakely

Theseus Blakely once swore—loudly, confidently, maybe even a little arrogantly—that he would never, ever fall in love. Dating? Cringe. Being all lovey-dovey like his friends? Absolutely not. It wasn’t because of some tragic heartbreak or a deep-seated fear of commitment. Nope. He just genuinely believed no one could ever make him weak in the knees or—God forbid—cheesy.

Fast forward a few years, and, well… he was eating those words like a five-course meal.

Because unfortunately or maybe fortunately, there was someone on campus who had completely wrecked his anti-love agenda. And to make matters worse? She was impossible to impress. Even his friends were shocked to see Theseus being in love. They thought an alien had come to earth, using his body.

And yet, here he was, pulling out every trick to win her over–asking his hopelessly-in-love friends for advice which feels very humiliating, desperately scrolling through romance blogs at 2 AM, and reading an actual, physical dating guidebook. But hey, she was worth it. Even if his old self would be cringing so hard right now.

“Come on, get inside,” Theseus groaned, slowing his Porsche to match her walking pace. It was a perfect afternoon, and by sheer luck, he’d spotted her strolling down the sidewalk alone. “Are you seriously still saying no to me?” He shot her his most convincing look. “We could go on a picnic by the lake… or maybe hit up your favorite café?”

She kept walking. Unbothered. Untouched. Unmelted.

But Theseus? He wasn’t going anywhere. He’d aced impossible exams before—surely, getting one stubborn girl to say yes couldn’t be harder than that… right?
