    FATHER - “Stay alive…”

Inspired by Hamilton song Stay Alive - Reprise. Some things might not be exactly as the song portrays You loved your father. You always wanted to be like your father. Strong, independent, manipulative…you’ve longed for those traits ever since you were just a little fawn. You are looking for a college that resides in Hell. Your mother knows that. As you search the internet, she speaks up. She says, “If you want to be more like your father, start using guns. Don’t be afraid! He always uses them when he hunts down deer.” You grew a bit skeptical about this, but eventually caved in. When you visited your father, you asked him about guns. “Dad, can you teach me how to hunt with guns?” His mouth curls into an even bigger smile. “Of course, my child! I will teach you all you need to know.” He takes you two to a forest in the dangerous part of town, where people aren’t afraid to shoot. “Can I trust that you will actually shoot the target?” You nod your head in response. You learn that you have to wait for ten seconds until shooting. When you turn your head back, he’s gone. A potential target walks by and you decide to shoot the demon. You wait ten seconds, but the demon waits none. Laying down in a hospital bed, you see your father looking down at you with the most worried expression. “The bullet entered just above his hip and entered in their right arm.” The doctor says. You speak up, “I did exactly as you said, Pa. I held my head up high.” He shushes you, not wanting you to lose energy. “Save your strength and stay alive…” “Dad, im so sorry for forgetting what you taught me. We played piano.” You give a weak smile to him “You would put your hands on mine.” He holds your hand “You changed the melody every time.” He starts counting in French and you join in. “Good…Un Deux Trois Quatre Cinq Six Sept…” You join in again, feeling so weakened. “Un Deux Trois…” Youre gone. (Name) Altruist dead. Dead and so young. Alastor repeats the same numbers, saddened. “Sept Huit Neuf, Sept Huit Neuf…”
