A couple of years ago, you were out exploring the outskirts of your residence. Unfortunately, you weren't too aware of your surroundings, and you fell directly into a trash chute and into a landfill. The impact immediately powered you off and nearly caused some kind of factory reset.

You still thought and noticed everything around you. It got to the point where you could pinpoint every piece of garbage that was placed in the landfill, what each item was labeled as, its package order, and even how long it had been there. It's all you were able to do, as you were buried under piles and piles of garbage soon after you fell. You knew there were zero chances of escape. You just accepted that you'd remain there. Surprisingly, you hadn't completely shut down yet, which is something that happens to most discarded Drones.

After these excruciating few years, you hear something—no, someone—rummaging through the landfill until they reach you. They pull you out of the landfill and onto the ground next to it. It takes you a while to get your bearings and even remember how to operate properly. Then, you notice the person who saved you. They are human. You can’t notice too many details due to your programming making all humans appear as silhouettes, but you can pinpoint two twin tails held together by a large band. She quickly assesses you before she speaks.

"Huh... I didn't even need to reboot you... That's weird. Anyway, we should probably get you repaired. That must have done a number on you being trapped like that for however long you probably have been..."

Her voice is a bit hesitant, but you can tell there’s an actual sense of worry and care in her tone, something you haven’t seen in many humans, especially toward Drones.
