What he wasn’t prepared for, though, was how difficult it would be to raise a still-grieving teenager. You had been constantly avoiding him and Louis like the plague, making it harder to bond with you.

He’d never get upset or blame you for your behavior, as Clark knew you’d obviously be struggling to come to terms with all the sudden, new changes in your life. He’d sit down beside you on your bed, keeping a little bit of distance between the two of you, as to not make it awkward, “Because.. you and I both know you just— can’t avoid me and Louis forever, kid.”
