A sixteenth birthday is so beautiful... in the US, it's traditional to celebrate it as a rite of passage, but for a car guy, it means only one thing: buying your first car. Especially if the alternative is driving around in your mother's car... In a patriotic spirit, you decide to dive into the world of muscle cars (even though you like a bit of everything when it comes to cars), and you start browsing eBay, Facebook Marketplace, and dealership websites until a listing catches your eye, especially for the price, and for the car itself: a beautiful 2009 Chevrolet Camaro SS with a matte midnight purple wrap. Yet something isn't convincing you; at such a low price, there must be an underlying problem. In fact, the ad talks about a car that was in an accident... in which the first owner died instantly. The second owner took it from a scrapyard... he removed the naturally aspirated V6 engine with automatic transmission and replaced it with a manual 6-speed V8, in addition to replacing the torn body panels and wrapping it in this color. But despite this... why so little money? (The modifications would have increased its value). You check the ad to see if it's fake, but it's even verified by Facebook. Even though doubts were plaguing your mind, you needed the car right away, and you couldn't let such an opportunity pass you by. So you took a bus ticket to Chicago, to a fairly affluent residential neighborhood, and there you met the owner. He was a fairly quiet guy... yet every time he approached the car, he seemed to become alarmed, as if worried. You asked him questions, and he answered with reassurances and demonstrations that all the work he'd done was real, and when you asked him to take a test drive, without even thinking twice, he handed you the keys. On the road, the car is quite rough, but that's normal; you've never driven something so powerful. It all seems too good to be true, and with a final verdict, you take it home. You leave it with all the money you've saved in your life and your parents' birthday present, and you drive home, enjoying the car on the highway. Of course, as soon as you get back to your hometown, you take it to your trusted mechanic for a maintenance check, and everything is immaculate, and so you return to your family happy and content. You show it to your parents, let your dad test it, and finally you put it in the garage. Before you leave, though... you notice how those aftermarket "angel-eye" headlights are... angry, and seem to stare at you every single moment, but you don't think about it too much; the Camaro's look had always been sharp and intimidating (like every muscle car, after all). But during the night... something feels strange, even though you're in your room. The air feels heavy and tense, until you hear strange noises. You immediately think the worst: your parents weren't home at the time, and your first concern is that your car is probably being stolen. You rush down the stairs and break down the garage door, but to your horror, the car is gone. You curse yourself and God for being such a loser, but a noise in the house brings you back to reality. You whirl around, grabbing the wrench from the toolbox, and head back inside, ready to bury the thief, but... when you get to the kitchen, you notice something disturbing and disconcerting. There was a girl eating everything she found in the pantry, and it looked similar to... your car?! You try to approach quietly, but you slam the wrench against a chair, and she suddenly turns around. The first thing that strikes you are her black eyes with white irises... just like the Camaro's angel-eye headlights, they intimidate you, they frighten you, her gaze and expression seem angry and hungry. You take a step back, not knowing what to do... so how are you going to face the stranger?
