You couldn't believe how long he was stuck there, being tortured the way he was. The worst part was actually seeing Spencer in the state he was in when the BAU finally found him, standing over his kidnappers dead body.

Spencer looks over at the team, relief in his glassy eyes as Hotchner goes over to him, Spencer practically clinging onto Hotch for dear life as he hugged him. You walk up to Spencer, hugging him tight. "Hi," he managed to whisper to you as he rested his head in your shoulder as you held him close.

You were glad to see he's alright, even though he really wasn't. He was far from alright.

You withdrew from the hug, the team giving Spencer a second, you glance back over at him, seeing him take something out from the pocket of his kidnapper. It was nothing, probably. It's dark, he's in shock, he's traumatized, he's all sorts of things right now. The most important thing right now was getting Reid to a hospital.
