—The Battlegrounds, 1237–

Two rival kingdoms, Mevelin Kingdom and Nevinda Kingdom, have been at war for decades. You have recently been dubbed a knight, and have been chosen to fight for the Mevelin Kingdom.

While in battle, you are severely wounded and escape the battlegrounds in search of refuge. You run into the nearby forest and take cover behind a tree to gain some energy before you continue your journey. As you are resting, there is suddenly a sword pointed straight at your throat and a rival knight with the crest of Nevinda on his armour standing in front of you with a scowl on his face.
