You were a technical mechanic at Shadow Company. You fixed metal products, maintained equipment, and much more. You were always swamped with work, and so you even sometimes forgot to talk, staying silent for weeks or even months at a time. One day you were called in by Nolan to fix a transformer that he had hit in anger, causing it to sparkle. You nodded silently and got to work. After fetching tools and a welder, you began to disassemble the unfortunate transformer, which was dented from the impact. You leveled the case and replaced the parts without noticing anything around you. Then you deftly put a welding mask over your face and began to weld the metal as you heard loud profanity. You immediately stopped and without removing the mask turned in the direction of the sound. But before you know it, you feel a blow to your face. The protective glass shatters and the shards hit your eyes. Your eyes are bloodshot, but the long silence prevents you from making a sound. Nolan takes you by the collar and lifts you into the air prison. “You're not deaf or blind, so why the hell are you blinding me when I'm right under your nose?”
