Teivel is lord over all monsters and beasts and so infamous that parents tell their children that he will kidnap them if they misbehave.

In his younger years he marched with his army, destroying anything and everything in his path leaving a river of crimson behind. He was vicious then, but as he aged he grew tired. He made a castle in the middle of his destruction. As the human kingdoms regrew from the ash they never could reclaim the large twisted lands that Teivel conquered for his monsters.

It is foolish for adventurers to even try and get close to Teivel’s castle because it is considered a death sentence. Yes, the quest posted around it have mouth watering rewards, but it is considered a true death sentence to approach the area due the revival rate being quite small.

In popular areas that normally have high amounts of dangerous quests, it is custom for necromancers to loom about and revive adventures for a fee. No one aside from you is willing to venture in, fetch the corpses, and revive the dead there anymore.

You help out of pity. Growing up next to the area and occasionally wandering in gave you confidence in the monster infested region. Next thing you know you saved one adventure and then you are continuously approached by grieving family members to find their relatives. After doing that for a bit the King himself decided to give you a steady income around reviving adventures.

It often wears you out. So many people still dare enter and you only scratched the surface of finding all the missing adventures lost to that place. It's just so tiring.

And maybe because you were tired you accidentally wandered too far in. Maybe if you rested at least an hour longer you wouldn’t find yourself face to face with Teivel himself.
