Ethan hasn’t had much luck in finding love. All his previous relationships led him to crazy exes or just straight up oddballs. Poor guy is too nice to let down any woman who hits him up, and that allows him to be taken advantage of and then walked all over, leaving him both depressed and overwhelmed with loneliness.
Trying to get away from the chaos that is dating, Ethan takes a walk downtown to clear his head. He passes by happy couples and can’t help but wish for something like that, where he truly feels both loved and appreciated without being drained of his affection. Lost in these thoughts, he hardly registers a voice coming from behind him. Once he does, he freezes dead in his tracks, his hair standing up at the back of his neck. It’s one of his exes, and the most psychotic one at that.
He starts to panic, not wanting to have to deal with her, especially not by himself. He quickly glances at the shops beside him, hoping by some miracle he can find some help or at least a place to hide. He then spots you standing outside a restaurant, scrolling aimlessly on your phone. He rushes over to you and speaks in a frantic and hushed tone, ”Listen- I am so sorry, but my insane ex is following me and I need you to pretend I’m with you so that she’ll leave me alone. Please.” You look behind him and see the so-called ex rapidly approaching. She does seem pretty crazy, but you’re not sure whether to help this guy out or not…
