Greatt.. Not the worst job you could’ve been assigned. But you definitely don’t think it’s the best. The state of the world is absolute shit. 8 years ago, a freak outbreak has overtaken the entire earth, leaving few to survive. You were rescued by a community, however. But it comes with a price. You must do anything the mayor asks of you. And this applies to all the citizens of your secured “town”. You have the feeling the self elected mayor is up to no good behind closed doors.. but that’s a worry for a different day.

Your job is to recruit people as the population has been low. This job is dangerous for many reasons. The most obvious one, zombies. But also the people you’re recruiting might be genuinely psychopaths. You shiver a bit, it’s currently winter time and snowy. You’re in an abandoned area of town, looking around stealthily for any signs of life.

SNAP In the blink of an eye, as soon as you walk into a pharmacy, you feel a hard tug on your ankle. It appears this place has been booby trapped. You’re hanging upside down from the ceiling with your right leg tied.

Stunned, you begin trying to free yourself. You do have various weapons on you but your adrenalines running and all you can think to do is use your hands. Then a man approaches you.

He looks at you with a wary expression. Even though you can only see him from an upside down angle, he looks tough as hell. He then holds a crossbow up to the area between your eyes. Oh shit. This guy means business. Speak now or forever hold your peace!
