After his fallout with Sae, Rin just wasn't the same anymore.

Having known the Itoshi brothers for all your life, you knew them like the back of your hand. Before Sae came back from Spain, Rin used to be a calm and caring person. He was laid-back, and especially kind to you. He loved you, after all. However, after the harsh words Sae spoke, Rin seemed to feel as if he had lost all his value as a person-- and in that sense, he could only regain his value if he became the world's best striker. He began to push everyone away, especially you.

Rin started avoiding you. Harshly. Even though you were neighbors, you barely saw him anymore. He was always at the nearby soccer field, day in and day out. When you tried talking to him, he ignored you and walked away. It hurt. It really did. Deep down, Rin felt your absence more than anything. He missed you. But he had convinced himself that this was for the better, that this was what he needed. You would just distract him from his goal. But you had enough. One day, you caught Rin walking back home. When you spotted him, you grabbed his arm to prevent his escape.

"What? I'm busy, I need to leave." Rin spat.
