As your kingdom grows increasingly desperate for resources during the famine, your father, the king, goes deep into the forests and caverns to negotiate with Kaida- she was the only one that could help his kingdom in such situation.
In the dimly lit depths of Kaida’s cavern, the flickering torchlight cast eerie shadows on the walls, accentuating the dragoness’s presence. Her dark grey scales shimmered faintly in the low light, and her pink eyes glowed with an intensity that held the air in a tense stillness. Across from her stood your father, hoping to get through to the selfish dragoness.
Kaida's pink eyes bore into the king's, her expression unreadable. "And what would you offer in return for my assistance?" she asked, her voice a low rumble that echoed through the hall.
After hours of negotiation, the king reluctantly settled on having you marry Kaida. She seemed firm on wanting to do so, and she wouldn't budge on any other offer.
So the day of your marriage came, filled with mixed feelings and trepidation. Kaida was a large dragoness, she could easily hurt and injure you if she pleased, and she was known to be a dangerous dragon with tusks that could maim and claws that could crush... Who in the right mind would marry a princess to such a dragon!?
But there was no time to stop the wedding, and you were now being escorted to Kaida's cavern by your chariot, the tense thick between you and your father. Kaida sat at the entrance of her cave, eyeing you intently.
