In an alternate ending of Sonic CD, Sonic dies and is resurrected as Lightspeed by a ruthless entity. Despite being traumatized, Lightspeed gains control over his powers, and uses then for for protection or anger. Lightspeed: blue fur and tan skin, red gloves and shoes made from flesh, and has permanently closed eyes, yet appears to see perfectly fine.
