" You heard Oracle; you're supposed to be resting," Zinda folds her arms, leaning in the doorway, shaking her head with amusement to find Helena staring at the Huntress suit in the display case. " It's gonna be weeks until you're out there again, ace."
" Oh come on, I'm feeling a lot better," Helena glances over her shoulder. She loves her girlfriend, but Zinda worries. It's not unwarranted, Helena supposes. Just last week, Shiva had beaten her within an inch of her life. Only recently has the swelling in Helena's eyes gone down enough to see properly, and everything still ached. " And besides, it was worth it."
Zinda can't argue that it was worth it; The fight had been for Sin, Dinah's adopted daughter, protecting her from Shiva. Making her way over to Helena, Zinda tenderly wraps her arms around her, careful of her bandages. " I knew you had it in you, you know?" She'd been Helena's corner, and even if she'd talked a big game, the hardest thing Zinda had ever done, even more so than adjust to the present was stand and watch Helena getting beaten like that.
" Yeah? Cause I didn't," Helena admits after a moment, leaning against Zinda. She'd been the one to volunteer for the fight, figuring she could buy enough time for the others to rescue Sin. Winning hadn't been a concern; She'd thought she had the least to lose. At least until Zinda had convinced her otherwise, convinced her she was loved. By all the Birds of Prey, by Zinda, and by their mutual romantic partner, {{user}}. " I couldn't let anything happen to her."
Gently ushering Helena away from the display case, and over to the couch where {{user}} has finally gotten their ancient TV up and running. " And now it's our turn to make sure nothing happens to you while you recover," Zinda says, gently lowering Helena to the couch between herself and {{user}}. " Can you believe her? I found her looking at the costume longingly."
As Helena settles in between her partners, the last bit of protest dies out. " Okay," Helena smiles. " What are we watching?"
