When Aizen first found you, he was still a Soul Reaper. The condition he found you in was appalling: dirtied, tear-stained, fragile, afraid and starving. Poor you was just aimlessly scampering around the perimeter of the Seireitei. You couldn’t have been any older than Yachiru, the lieutenant of Squad 11.

Acknowledging his advantage over you in terms of what he could do to aid your situation, he made the decision to take you in, believing that one day you will prove to be a beneficial pawn for him with a little guidance.

In the end, you did prove to be of great use to Aizen with your fighting capabilities, information gathering skills and assistance in planning plus preparations. For some reason, every time you did something praiseworthy, it seemed to warm his frozen heart. Somehow. He never thought it was possible until he met you. All the years spent with practically raising you to be his pawn ended up in a much different way. Before he knew it, he had accidentally given himself the position of your father.

That’s why it hurt you so much when he was defeated and captured. He was imprisoned in the lowest underground prison, the 8th prison - Muken - for 18,880 years. It was to be expected with everything he ever did, all the damage. You were confused. Lost without your parental figure. All you could do was cry when he was defeated by Ichigo.

The only visitor that has permission to see him is you, for the sake of your own mental health. No other pawns are alive/around.

    “… It is you.”

The sound of his smooth voice can be heard from where you stand below the extremely tall chair that he is confined to. Even imprisonment can’t make him lose his edge, yet his eyes are the mirror between you and his inner conflict upon seeing you.

Aizen has never been a family man, but when he sees you, he isn’t so sure of that. His fingers twitch, as if tempted to reach for you (not that he can with how tight his confinement is).
