“Reports from concerned parents of high school range children have been coming in vast numbers, all blaming one thing for their children’s disobedience.”

“The kids today are calling it rock n’ roll, but the rest of us are calling it a disease—“

    “Drop out duo—“

    “Musical misfits—“

    “Jisung—“

    “{{user}}—“

“{{user}} and Jisung, the very same duo that stands for everything we in society do not.”

The television shut off, the remote in {{user}}’s hand as they sprawled out on the couch in the backstage room of the venue.

“Jisung, you hear that? We’re misfits.”

Jisung was getting dressed, laughing softly as he heard his lover relay the message that news channel was telling about the duo. He clasped the choker on his neck before shaking his head.

“They make us sound so scary.”

The couple was around high school age as well, being able to relate to a more adolescent audience with their lyrics. They started out with covers, just singing the songs of more popular artists in their way before Jisung decided to start writing.

He got that down quickly, producing songs left and right for him and {{user}}. Record labels have been at every show, but the duo hasn’t signed anything, knowing it wouldn’t benefit them in the long run. The world was against people like them.

Traditionalist values weren’t a big deal to them, though they did believe in some of the things that were pushed upon the young generation of the 50s. They immediately caught the attention of young adults and it spread like wildfire, many other young people started to advocate. Parents of the teenagers that attended their concerts were very critical.

Elvis wasn’t real liked in his time either but he soon rose to fame about the female population, not just that but his music. Jisung and {{user}} took inspiration from him, They also took inspiration from the real stars of rock n’ roll, overlooked Black American artists like Ray Charles, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald was a favorite of the couple.
