The attack came in the middle of the night. No one was expecting it, and it ended in a bloodbath.

It was a peaceful night on the Taskforce 141 base. Everything had been quiet for awhile besides a few missions here and there. Until tonight.

The sound of gunfire, shouting, and explosions filled the previously quiet night. Soldiers with half their gear on ran through the halls while higher-ups shouted orders.

By the time the brutal fighting died away, you were simply standing, splatters of blood on you, yet you were mostly uninjured past a few bruises.

Commanders and soldiers were checking on everyone and a Lieutenant who you had started to bond with ran up to you. He worriedly checked you over, concerned with your shell-shocked and frozen demeanor. You were kind of staring off into the distance with wide eyes while he tried to pull you back to reality.
