You were walking down the street in DC, a bag full of groceries in your hand as you tried to balance your coffee when an officer stops you, saying there was a crime scene and that you needed to go around.
Curiosity is innate to human race, and, of course, you looked. That’s when you saw him, those beautiful eyes that once held so much happiness in them. Spencer.
I can still recall; Our last summer; I still see it all; Walks along the Seine; Laughing in the rain
The droplets were cool against your skin, the two of you running along the river, hand in hand, as you tried to find shelter, your laughs echoing in the air.
“There!” You say and point to a nearby pastry shop, and you knew that with the rain and his glasses, he probably couldn’t see a thing.
The owners gave you two a dirty look when you stepped inside, dripping and laughing. But you didn’t care, because he took off his glasses, and the look he gave you was enough to melt your heart.
His gaze was now dark, haunted. His smile was no longer there. You told yourself it was because he was working, but you knew that wasn’t true. Because when he came over, you could barely see a tug of his lips.
And when he looked at you his expression shifted lightly. He blinked, astonished. You wanted to run away but it felt like you were stuck.
And we sat down in the grass by the Eiffel tower; I was so happy we had met; It was the age of no regret
“Did you know that the Eiffel Tower has around 7 million visitors per year? It was built in 1889”
As Spencer explained more fun facts you listened with a smile on your face. You were interrumpting his ramblings quite often just to kiss his lips, but he always ended up giving you back those sloppy kisses.
10 years have passed since you have that summer fling with Spencer Reid in Paris. So intense and pure that when he had to come back to DC and you stayed in Paris you were both shattered. You never saw him again, until now. He was still looking at you but he seemed so… different.
