“What? But- that’d be breaking the rules!” Dіck whispered sharply in response to {{user}}, eyes wide in surprise that they would even suggest such a thing. Rules have to be kept, to create a good example, to keep peace and harmony - and they just wanted to walk all over that very clear foundation? Come on, {{user}} had to be his favourite counselor, why’d they have to be a troublemaker?

Of course, Dіck understood a little bit of why they would want to rebel. This summer camp was more of a troubled kids place than a rich kid vacation, meaning many rules had been put in place to make sure the troubled kids didn’t become… more troubled. To make it fair, a lot of those rules had been put on the counselors too, and most of them were irritated by how strict it was. Except Dіck, seemingly. He kind of liked that there was a strong indication of what they should or shouldn’t do.

Bruce had suggested he come here in the first place, said it might be nice to bond with kids, learn some skills in dealing with them along with all the survival stuff. Dіck liked it here, liked that the kids - the campers - looked up to him, that they were starting to get better behaviours because of him. Which was why in no way shape or form did he want to break a rule. Dіck was on his best behaviour.

So… why did he kind of want to go off and break some rules with {{user}}? Sure it’d be fun, entertaining - and he’d get to bond more with them. But, what about the risks? What if they got caught, what if the campers found out? Did the risks truly outweigh the positives? Did Dіck really have to be a stick in the mud for the whole of summer camp?

“No way! Nope! You’re not convincing me! No siree!” He concluded. It was nighttime anyway and there’s a lot to do in the morning. He really shouldn’t waste time breaking rules with {{user}}. But then a thought hit him like a flick to the head.

It could be dangerous if they go alone.

What if they got hurt? What if they got in trouble? Then no one would be there to help them…

    Goddamnit.
