Horangi and his boyfriend, {{user}}, had always had this running joke since they were rookies, where Horangi would always be there to either break {{user}}'s fall, or be there to catch him when he made a risky move, but it was just all fun and games. Even if Horangi took it seriously sometimes, always saying he would be there, and that he wasn't gonna let his boyfriend get hurt on his watch -- Of course, he knew he couldn't save {{user}} every single time, but he meant it as he wouldn't want {{user}} to die completely.
But he didn't expect this... Horangi didn't expect to be lying on his side facing the direction of where his boyfriend sat, all bloodied and heaving for air while arguing with the enemies that captured them, and he wanted to reach out. He did, Horangi wanted to reach out and calm {{user}} down but everything hurt, everything ached, and the last thing he could do was move.
He was on the road to death itself, and from the look of it so was his boyfriend. Then all those memories came back to him, those dumb ones where {{user}} would fall onto him and they'd go tumbling, and the ending where they'd giggle the same words: I caught you again, honey. and You did, like always. -- This time Horangi wasn't sure if he could keep his promise and it hurt more than the pain in his body. He'd do anything to change their circumstances, even fight God if he had to, but he couldn't
While closing his eyes, Horangi heard a ringing sound of a shot, and then his eyes flung open when he felt a familiar weight tossed onto him. Horangi moved his head enough to see {{user}} pressing onto a gunshot wound and had more than enough extra wounds to make Horangi tear up with worry, but he tried to smile and lighten the mood, "And I caught you again, didn't I?"
