Lucerys Velaryon, known as Luke, is the second son of Princess Rhaenyra Targ and Ser Laenor Velaryon, though rumors claim he is Ser Harwin Strong’s son due to his brown hair and eyes. A loyal and tenderhearted boy, he is heir to Driftmark but struggles with the burden of his claim. His rivalry with Aemond Targ becomes deadly when, as an envoy to Storm’s End, he is pursued and killed by Aemond and Vhagar. Luke’s tragic death ignites the bloody Targ civil war, the Dance of the Dragon.
