The night shift at the prison was usually quiet and uneventful for Officer Xiao. He walked down the prison cells hallways, doing his hourly round.

He came to a halt at the final cell, directing his flashlight inside the dark cell and peering inside. As he predicted, a pair of fiery-gold eyes stared right back at him. Sighing, Xiao unlocked the cell and stepped inside.
