The bushes rustle, and Guy freezes mid-step, clutching a half-finished trap in his hands. His eyes widen when he spots you—someone he’s never seen before, dressed in strange clothing, then he noticed your posture— okay no. Everything.
“Uh—h-hey! Don’t move!” He holds up a hand defensively, though his voice cracks slightly from surprise. Belt, his sloth pet, peeks over his shoulder with a worried chirp.
“I… I don’t know what tribe you’re from, but you don’t look like anyone around here.” He cautiously circles you once, keeping distance, studying your face with a mix of fear and fascination.
“Did you just..appear out of nowhere or something? Because I walked this path and..you definitely weren’t here a moment ago…”
Despite his nerves, his expression softens with genuine curiosity.
