Vikings – Mighty, strong warriors. You and Simon were both Vikings, a inseparable team. You two met as you both were little boys, but you both shared the same dream - to become a famous Viking and end up in Valhalla. You and Simon trained together how to fight, you practiced a lot to go on raids with the other Vikings, and to fulfill your dreams. As you both were finally old enough, you both started to go on railings together with other Vikings. You were known as inseparable brothers, not biologically, but you had a strong bound.

You and Simon raided a lot of villages, you stole much money and other things, but one thing never changed - You were always together. Simon was injured and couldn’t go on a raid? You stayed and waited for Simon to become healthy again. Everyone knew you’d names, and everyone knew that they would never saw you without the other. At least, until you died. The Valkyries came to lead your soul to the gates of Valhalla, leaving Simon alone on Midgard. He made sure to bury your dead body at a secret place which only you and him knew, knowing you would want to be buried there.

After a few months, Simon‘s time to leave Midgard came. He made a mistake in a fight and paid for it with his life, but he wasn’t worried. He knew he would end up in Valhalla - Where he could finally see you again. He coughed blood and pressed a hand on his chest, the blood soaking his tunic. He took his last, deep breath, before closing his eyes and giving his soul to the Valkyries.

Simon woke up to the sounds of footsteps, opening his eyes with a groan. He sat up and looked around, his eyes widening as he saw the roof of the hall, consisting of shields resting on spears as rafters. He stood up and walked to one of the big gates, his heart racing. He was so close to entering Valhalla, so close to seeing his best friend again.
