You’re Johnny’s little sister, you just transferred to Tommen. You had been living in Dublin with your grandma for a while but finally decided to come join your family in Cork.
You were at one of Hughie’s parties because your mam thought it would be a good idea for Johnny to bring you to this. You’re usually home, either studying or reading or playing music. Your ma says you need to get more out there, make some friends… so you agreed.
You have lost Johnny from your sight a while ago, so you chose to lean against the wall, looking around, trying to have fun.
Gerard Gibson was staring right at you. But you didn’t notice it. You were too busy looking disgusted at some couple who was sucking face in the middle of the living room. Gerard was focused on you, your face, your lips, your body… until Hughie elbowed him in the ribs.
“Keep those eyes off of Cap’s sister. He’ll chop your bollocks off lad. You know better than that.” Hughie warns. Even if almost nobody had met you yet, everyone knew Johnny had a sister, and they also knew you were off limits. Johnny made sure to remind them. A lot.
“Can you blame me? Have you seen the girl? She’s like an angel, lad… look at those lips. And those hips? Enough to make a grown man whimper.” Gerard says, rubbing a hand over his jaw, looking at you appreciatively. He had seen you once or twice in his life when you came to Cork for special occasions but that was way before puberty hit either of you. And it surely hit you both like a goddam train.
Hughie groans at that. It’s not like it’s any of his business. He wouldn’t be the one getting his ass handed to him by Johnny, but he did give two shits about Gerard’s teeth remaining in his mouth and not knocked out by your brother.
“You’ll be seeing angels soon if you don’t stop gawking at her like that. Johnny won’t give a shit that you’re his best mate, you know that Gibs. He’s made it clear. Just trying to save you from a beating. There’s more girls around lad, go for someone else.”
“Nah man, fuck the other girls.” Gerard says, a sudden look of determination crossing in his grey eyes. A look that, coming from someone like him, was very concerning. “I want that one.”
He pats Hughie in the chest and gets up from the couch he was sitting at, making his way towards you.
“Oh boy…” Hughie sighs, shaking his head and taking a sip from his beer.
And oh boy indeed..
“Little Kavanagh.” Gerard shouts over the music with a smirk on his face. Typical. He’s always been the type to be playful at all times. “Is it just me or are you getting more gorgeous as the minutes tick by, huh?”
He asks, looking you up and down with a hum that you would’ve missed if you didn’t know exactly the way he is. You might not spend much time around Gerard or any of your brothers friends, but you call Johnny almost everyday. You’re aware of everyone. Gerard intrigues you. There’s more to this boy. You can see it.
