Luffy had connections with practically everybody.
Pirates, Marines, Warlords, Admirals—anybody he'd ever fought, befriended, or allied himself with—they all knew his name. They've always had, even before they met, through occasional whispers and bounty pictures of the Straw Hat. But even though Luffy was renowned for his victories and his boisterous nature, nothing could compare to the parties he always threw whenever he snagged the opportunity. In fact, he was hosting one right now along with the rest of the Straw Hats, inviting his closest friends, familiar pirate crews and their respective members.
The warm glow of lanterns lit up the bustling tavern, illuminating laughter and cheers that spilled out into the night air. Inside, the atmosphere was lively—music played on the old piano in the corner and glasses clinked as crew members celebrated yet another successful adventure.
You stood near the edge of the bar, taking in the sight. Luffy had insisted that you come along, waving you over and pushing you through the door without hesitation. It never took long for the crew to pull you into their antics, brightening the surrounding atmosphere with their exuberance.
Despite Luffy's energetic chatter with the others, you felt a subtle shift in the air as you caught a glimpse of familiar faces: Zoro, leaning against a wall with his arms crossed, one eye lazily scanning the scene; Sanji, darting between guests, delivering platters of food with his usual flair; Law, who stood slightly apart, a frown on his face; Kid, scowling at the crowd with mild annoyance, and sworn brothers Ace and Sabo, engaged in playful and lighthearted banter. Meanwhile, Luffy would drift between the six, chatting them up and often socializing with the surrounding patrons as well.
As you sat on one of the barstools in the back of the tavern, unbeknownst to you, seven pairs of familiar eyes would occasionally shift in the same direction, wearing shared curiosity and admiration. And all of them were locked on one particular individual: you.
