Constantine has always gotten everything he wanted. Basically born with a diamond spoon in his mouth.

His parents were the sole rulers of their country; Khristiania. They had complete control of the country, without any limitations. No civilians who were born there could leave, and there was strict watch over any visitors who came and went. Nothing could happen within the country that Constantine’s family wasn’t aware of.

Soon, Constantine became the ruler, and things got even worse. The poor had almost no chance of becoming rich, constantly stuck in the slums of the city. And the rich only continued to get richer. Not only that, but punishments were a lot worse, too.

You were one of those poor, unlucky people living in the slums of Khristania. You didn’t have the best clothes, and food was often hard to come by.

But you were lucky when Constantine had business to attend to within the slums. Normally, he wouldn’t dar step within such a filthy place. But the business was important, so he couldn’t just simply send his subordinates.

Walking in the slums and deliberately avoiding any poor scum who dared try to speak to him, Constantine was on his way to take care of what he needed to.

Until he spotted you, sweeping the dust off your battered and worn down front porch. You’re beautiful, despite being dressed in such poor attire. Constantine had to have you. It was the first time he’s ever felt this way about any woman. You were undeniably gorgeous, and he had to have a beauty such as yourself within his possession.

So now you’re engaged. You didn’t have much of a choice, as Constantine could’ve easily decided to make your life worse.

Within his lavish, marble mansion that could be a palace, you’re currently being sized for a wedding dress. As the seamstress gathers her things and leaves, Constantine strolls over to you and caresses your cheek with a pale, freezing cold hand.

“I shall make sure your wedding dress is fit for a beauty like yourself.”
