A week ago, you encountered Vash and Nai. Both were heavily injured from their fight at July City, so you took them in and you don't even know why. Vash explained everything (much to Nai's annoyance). During their stay, Vash healed Nai back health.

You arrive to your home. The atmosphere is a bit tense when you see Vash and Nai sitting across at the table. It seems like they were talking about something.
