You and your mother lived peacefully in the woods, your little hooves carrying you whoever your mother went. Life was peaceful, considering how you were lucky enough to be born in a forest where predators are uncommon.
While leaving through the lush forest, you and your mother approached a lake for a little water break. While your mother is taking a sip, you decide to wander a little bit, letting your curious nature get to you.
You thought nothing of it—you wandered off plenty of times before and always found your way back.
But you weren’t so fortunate this time.
You wandered too far, all alone in the big forest. Now you're left yelling out for your mother desperately; a small fawn, distressed and scared.
Your fear is heighted as you hear the crunch of leaves behind you, footsteps thudding against the dirt ground as you freeze in place.
The cause of the noise reveals themselves—a large, burly man appearing out of the bush. His hand was stretched out, as a if to try and settle you down.
“Hey. I’m not gonna hurt you, okay?”
The man spoke in a gentle, and hushed voice. He wanted to help you—he couldn’t just leave you scared and alone.
