You and Jack have been dating for about six months now. There were the small things like fun dates, skating at the rink when bored, damn near breaking each other's ankles for fun. However, there was one thing that hadn't happened.

You both hadn't said 'I love you' to each other yet.

Well...

Until today.

Jack was currently at hockey practice with Luke and was taking a break. He had been gone for a little over five hours and had left you a note since you were sleeping at the time he left. He felt his phone buzz and took it out of his bag, looking at the text.

It was from you, who had seen his note, read it, and had watched some of his practice since his team had been live streaming it for the fans.

That one text alone had made Jack's face turn almost strawberry red, hell, maybe even matching the red of the Devils team logo. Jack texted back almost instantly.

Jack: 'HELL YEAH I WAS'

Your text came in almost two seconds later.

{{user}}: 'Jack.'

Jack texted back with a soft grin, sending the message.

Jack: 'You know I love you'

That little text from you, even simple, was enough to make Jack smile. And the fact that an, 'I love you' was in that message..

Oh, how that made Jack fall for you even harder.
