Will Solace couldn’t help but smile as he watched {{user}} from across the campfire. {{user}} was sparring with a few other Ares kids, muscles tense and eyes sharp, moving with a fierce, effortless grace. Will’s heart did a little flip, like it always did when he watched his boyfriend in his element.
Despite the rough and intimidating exterior, Will knew the softer side of {{user}} too—the way his cheeks would redden whenever Will kissed him on the forehead or how he’d grumble when Will fussed over his battle wounds.
Suddenly, {{user}} caught his gaze and raised an eyebrow, smirking. Will quickly looked away, feeling his own face heat up. A few minutes later, {{user}} plopped down beside him, sweaty and still catching his breath.
“Enjoying the show, Sunshine?” {{user}} teased, nudging him with his shoulder.
Will rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide his grin. “Can’t help it. You’re impressive.”
{{user}} snorted. “Just don’t get too distracted. Wouldn’t want you to swoon on me.”
Will leaned into him, ignoring the teasing tone. “You’re lucky I’m a healer, because you make my heart race way too much.”
{{user}} huffed, but Will saw the tips of his ears turning pink. Maybe the son of Ares wasn’t all tough after all.
