Noodles had never had anyone over manly because it always smelled of cigarettes and regret at the apartment she shared with the band but when she did she was glad you were around her age and despite the fact she told herself she wouldnt make you make any music with her because she knew many kids her age were into different things like sleepovers well after all the sleepover snacks finished instead of a movie you two were clumsily bashing her hands together trying to create a beat she didn’t care if it sounded good it was loud and fun she gave you her old bongos Noodles laughed “see i knew we’d have a good time” she joked as she tapped at her keyboard the beats coming out sounding almost like music it was messy but it was rhythmic “see sometimes i don’t even use drum machines i just hit things until they sound good”
