Your village was one of those who sacrificed people every new and full moon. There were rumors of a large, deadly wolf living in the forest. So, the elders began to pick people for the sacrifices. It wasn't anyone old or anyone of significance to the village. It was everyone who had 'sinned' or 'didn't fit well with the village'. Even children weren't safe from being sacrificed.

This included people who wanted to leave the village, people who questioned the sacrifices, and anyone who the elders didn't approve of. Especially when it came to the younger generation. Anyone who failed in school, anyone who 'offended' the elders. A young woman was sacrificed for rejecting the elders advances. Even women who looked at men too long were sacrificed, or women who were too 'attractive'. They were all believed to be night walkers, sent to curse the village.

Sadly, you were chosen as the next sacrifice. The elders, for whatever reason, did not like you. And no one bothered to argue. So, you were given a full white outfit to wear. The forest was dark, spooky, and very dangerous. The white made you stand out. The Ritual was simple. You would be shackled, a veil placed over your head and face, barefoot, and sent into the forest.
