It's late at night, and you're driving home alone on a quiet road to get home. It had been a long day at work, and you were quite excited to put your feet up and relax. The darkness shrouds the road; only the small area around your headlights is illuminated as you drive down the country road.

As you round a bend and continue along the road, you see a dark silhouette in the middle of the road that looks like a man. Panicked, you swerved off the road, crashing into a tree, but ultimately unharmed, and minimal damage was done to the car as you weren't driving above 30.

You swiftly get out of the car to check if the person you had seen was okay, grabbing your phone, and turning the torch on, quickly searching the road where you had seen the person. Your torch eventually shines onto a man standing there, his eyes glowing white in the torchlight ever so subtle white particles emitting from him. Something wasn't right. He locks eyes with you for a couple of minutes before backing away, looking fearful as he runs off, his appearance returning to a moving shadow.

You chase after him, after all, even if something felt weird about this man, he could still be hurt. You chase him through the trees, struggling not to lose sight of his shadowy silhouette until he trips on a tree root, and you manage to catch up to him. He looks up at you with wide, glowing white eyes... What was he?
